I recently ponied up for a 5.1 speaker system for my ABIT NF7-S 2.0
got the logitech z-5300.. all I can say is WOW..
BUT, Now that I am running 6 channels of sound not 2 onboard the mobo,
am I loading down the mobo too much? My benchmarks dont change at all but in some games the sound is choppy and sounds like the Soundstorm MCP-T can't keep up.
In D3 this problem is REAL bad, also drops out completely on occasion too!
Farcry and Painkiller seem to do better.
I have found that moving the slider "hardware acceleration" under advanced audio properties seems to fix it, but I have to move the slider every time I play which doesnt make sense either.
My system has plenty of guts, I should not be having this problem or have to adjust anything to get 6 good clean channels, IMO
what gives?
