5 Discs????

Ok, I've had Half Life 2 for about a year now. I tried to install it on my computer but it didn't work and I became frustrated, so I quit trying. Now I want to try again. First, I don't know the purpose of 5 discs. The cover says that it includes: Counter Strike: Source, Half Life 2: Deathmatch, and Half Life: Source. Are these games on the other discs? If so, that only accounts for 4 discs, so I'm still confused? The 2nd thing is do I run all of the discs at the beginning, or will they come into play sometime later. Please HELP me someone!

All you really need is the CD Key. Enter it into Steam, using your steam account, and you can just download and install everything (but it takes a while.)

Put the first disc in and follow the instructions.

Alternately, download Steam, make a Steam account, and then register the CD-Key that came with your copy of HL2 to your Steam account, and you can download HL2, HL2M, CS:S, and HL:S.

Thank you soo much. I see where it gives me the option to download HL2, HL2M, CS:S, and HL:S, or I can choose which ones I want. Will I be able to download the others later on if I want to play them?

Pick n choose what you want and what you don't. Steam will give you the choice to start/ stop / pause any downloads, and you can do them another rainy day.
