To this day there still arnt any satisfactory answer's that have been made about NORAD's failed response, or a any real aknowledgement that they knew about it in advance when it seems as though they did. Suspiciously the Pentagon is trying it's best to put a lid on it and any public or media freeform furthur investigation's.

What would Norad do? Shoot the thing down? Yes it would have saved thousands of lives, but we wouldnt know that if we did shoot it down. We would infact hear more of an outcry about how Norad, a military instituion, is shooting down plane-fulls of american cities.

And the whole able danger thing was a terrible mess-up. Whether or not they knew or did anything is still terrible. If they couldnt give information, then that shows how incompetent the admin was

Its NORAD standard procedure to scramble jets when an airliner goes off course, the choice was never made available, because procedure didnt occur properly... heading towards new york sometimes those kind of choices have to be made, priority.. thousands of lives, or a few hundred. Never had the option so they all died instead. and considering they seemed to of known in advance .. well it's bodged..

Anyway, If they have nothing to be ashamed of or hide they wouldnt show this level of resistance.

The CIA knew well before 9/11/01 about the incoming terror attacks. They welcomed the attacks. There are two things that you need know to understand why this attack was allowed to happen. The first is oil, the second is drugs. Two things that the american ecconomy strongy relies on. Just look at the way the dow jones rose after september 11. It's all about ensuring america's ecconomical superiority. Now that makes sense doesn't it?

Hmmm... I seem to remember alternet being one of the sites advocating thetheory that the walls of the Pentagon were destroyed by a missile, or am I far off the mark?

wtf? you havent a clue ..he's pretty much correct on all counts ..the CIA did know about 9/11 they sent memos to Bush ..please dont shoot your mouth off if you havent the faintest clue as to what you're talking about

I just dont think they wanted it to happen,If thats what you are implying....wow

then I must come to your house also and eat ALL your canadian syrup:flame: !

Oh what a threat.
What would Norad do? Shoot the thing down?

Hardly relevant if indeed they knew about it far in advance.

what you think is immaterial ...the evidence points to one of 2 conclusions:

they knew and couldnt do anything about it

or

they knew and wouldnt do anything about it

I believe it's the latter, there's plenty of evidence that supports that assertation but I'd doubt you'd read it

Canadas whole economy is based on the distribution of Syrup!

didnt you know?

/end joking mode

I really belive that the CIA and Mr.Bsuh ignored Information, but really dont think that
the CIA or Bush wanted 9/11 to happen hes dumb ignorantand greedy, but he sure aint "that" evil.

again what you think is immaterial ..facts lemonking

it has nothing to do with being "evil" ..they probably didnt know how many casualties but there is evidence they wanted something like 9/11 to happen ..because it would consolidate their power ..I dont know why I'm attempting to explain this ..you'd have to read hundreds of documents to reach this conclusion ..I just dont think you're capable of doing the research necessary ..but I wont pre-judge till you've been given a chance to prove me otherwise

here's the documents:

im not saying to threaten them, but lets say, oh i dont know

terrorist on radio "we shall crash into a densely packed building'

norad "hmmm, a plane full of people vs a few thousand....."

It's also curious that the pentagon was installed with structural defense enhancements only a few weeks prior to the 9/11 attacks.

Oh and by the way Captain Stern, its nice to know some one doesnt think Im a complete nutcase :D

I was actually responding to Lemon's 'I'll eat all your food!' with that 'threat' comment. :p

What I'm saying is that if they knew about it before the plane even lifted off, then they needed to make a hell of a lot more effort in security and whatnot.

And if I was in the position where I'd have to decide - if I knew that they were going to crash into New York - I probably would have ordered that plane shot down if necessary. If they crash into a building, all those people are going to die anyway, plus whoever's in the way. Or...maybe I would have chickened out. Guess you never know.
