Lets assume i have condition zero- is is possible for me to get counter-strike source without downloading it?(56K)
I know someone who has it but would it work putting it on a cd?

Im on a 56k..i got it by dling it..
God damnit, heres what u do..
Leave your comp on all night, and leave your internet on all night, leave your computer dling it all night.. 2 nights of that and it should be done.
(Considering u get around 8 hours of sleep or so)
If it aint by 90% by then, well then you probably are getting 2.4kb/s which is almost half of what a 56ker should be getting and therefor your isp sucks and you should get a new one.

I believe i dled Cs:S in 1 night, and dling it through some of the day.

Yes, it should work.

Just copy over the .gcf files. Use WinRAR to compress them first.

Why will it need to compressed first, to fit on a cd?
Minerel- cant - im on pay as u go. Im getting 512K but by then the beta might have finnished.

I cant leave tinternet on over night because at some times its 5p a minute- so itd cost 72 quid!

I wouldnt need compresssing i the GCF is only 500mb int it?
