That's probably just the first texture layer, HDR uses four texture layers. (It was designed for HDR, you know... )

Yeah, also few month ago, they added support for machine with more than 4Gbyte RAM cause some guy said hl2 doesn't support such things.

I'm not entirely sure, I would assume that if you have a 64bit processor and 64x Windows XP, then it should work (as long as it was automatically updated through steam)

I'm running it, it seems smooth. I'd do a comparison benchmark on the Video Stess test if I knew how to run the 32-bit version now
