Just booted up my comp for abt the 10th time since ive had ait and a message appeared saying that it is getting too little power so it has lowered it's perfomance leves to avoid damage. I have a x-Ultra connect 550 watt atx 2.0 psu and when i installed my graphics card i plugged it into the pci socket and also connected an additional psu cable to the back of it near the hard drive.

Any ideas or ways to prevent this ? - i ahve also connected my 4-pin cable to the mobo aswell

any help apprectiated

cheers:sniper:

it the psu cable connected to the card by it self? i also noticed that you have a hell of an o/c on that cpu and thats alot of power

yeah psu - card

and LOL it's typo meant to be 2.6 haha thanks for noticing :P

when does this message appear? does it appear on windows or when you start up because ive never seen this problem before

I used to have this problem on my old 5900XT turned out to be my PSU either you have faulty rails, the PSU isn't powerful enough or the GFX card is screwed. I can't think of what else could be the problem. I'll presume that it must be your PSU.

It appears as windows starts up. And also any way i can monitor the amount of power being given to compnents?
