I'm planning to get EVGA 6800GS along with 1GB of RAM.

Will I play FEAR and Battlefield 2 and any other latest pc games on high setting?

By the way, I have AGP slot so I can't get 7800GT or PCI-E conpatible cards.

If there are better AGP cards than 6800GS for gaming, then let me know.

yeah, well i'm about to make the same decision between:

The PCI-E version with 485MHz core clock dual 400 Mhz RAMDACS and 1100MHz memory clck along with 12 pipelines

Tis card is better than most 6800s i think - but thsi is the PCI-E version

The AGP is clocked at 425MHz ?? - and along with 12 pipelines also i think.

gotta weigh up Pipelines vs core clock ;)

You won't want to play fear 'on highest setting'. It's a beast...for any card really. Unless you don't mind 30 fps.

There are better AGP cards than that, like some of these:

I think that 6800's a bit slower than the X800XL. 350MHz vs X800's 400mhz.

My X800XL runs BF2, Splinter Cell:CT, HL2 and whatever else on pretty much everything highest with AA on etc. Although I don't think it supports pixel shader 3 for Splinter Cell.

Asus, if you were speaking to me i thought i woulod be able to run fear on highest settings aswell as Quake IV.

Check out my sig (my rig) and let me know :P cheers
