I know I am going to smack myself after I found out why. But for some reason my PowerDVD 5 Deluxe v1203 no longer plays 6CH audio correctly. It is really strange because it will play the video with the occasional glitch, but the audio is intermittent. Plays stops plays stops and so on. When I change it to 2CH it plays very smooth.

Now when I go into media player to play it, it plays fine, but media player does not seem to support "real" 6CH audio or Surround Sound of any form.

Note that I am not using the Nforce audio chipset with my AN7. I am using an Audigy 2 Plat.

::update::

OK, it is definitely related to the Nforce audio card that is on the AN7. It seems that when I flashed my BIOS and rebooted, it had the AN7 Nforce sound set to enabled. Now when I set it as the playback device the movie plays smooth. When I set the audigy as the playback device it glitches. So now my question is not what is wrong, but how do I get back to the audigy without the glitches like before?
