7 hours till Wide Awake and Physical (Halo 2)

Maybe they will show something that is actually impressive.

Don't be such a poor sport ShadowFox :) It's okay to be as excited as everyone else.

It could end up being a very good game, but so far they have shown me nothing that has made me go 'wow' or 'sweet'.

So what's the general consensus now on what "wide awake and physical" actually means? Didn't people think they were gonna release a demo or something at one point?

Personally i thought the first halo was good to start of with then it got crap! I hated only being able to carry two guns at a time and them running out ammo quite quickly that really annoyed me! :frown: but if in halo 2 you can carry more than two weapons at a time and have a wider selection of guns then i might be tempted to have ago  But so far it doesn't look that good, especially for the hype its getting.

COUNTDOWN TO WIDE AWAKE AND PHYSICAL:
00:00:00:00:000

nothings happening

The site is just more messed up now, nothing special.

I still dont understand all the hype behind halo. it was a decent, maybe even good fps. Halo 2 has brought nothing to the table, and looks relatively the same. Nothing has impressed me yet in the slightest.

"Axons Go Hot"?

To be honest, I really did not like Halo. It sucked, in my opinion. I am somewhat excited for Halo 2, though. It looks like they put a lot more effort into making the maps more varied and the multiplayer looks much-improved; the only aspect of Halo I enjoyed.

can i ask what that website is and how this has to do with Halo 2?

In the halo 2 theatrical trailer they flashed ilovebees.com at the end of it.

Now I just have to wait for it to end in Pacific time....I am going back to sleep.

Choosing the right weapon combo for each situation is one of Halo's greatest strengths. Sometimes you have to make do with what's available - but that's also good, forcing you to tackle a situation in a new way.

Being able to carry more than 2 weapons would make Halo 2 considerably worse, both in terms of combat (which still puts titles like Doom 3 to absolute shame) and replayability (ditto).

Anything that adds to a games depth, makes you think and experiment with, is all good :)

CHECK IT OUT!! UPDATE AHHH!!! I have no idea, it is some sort of puzzle.

I get it now, the axons are going hot and as each one does it is tracked on the siteand when they are all done...IDK. Another thing I noticed, when the ILB site is down the bungie site is...

WTF was that .wav file talking about???? Did anyone listen to it (right click save target as on jersey)

Sounds like a scene straight from Halo 2, a marine found some AI.

I think it is made up, a ship crash landed on some planet(guessing earth) and the whole crew died but the AI lived but most of its memory is lost. It is hearing strange things and can't identify what it is...it might be the human?

This is interesting...from the ILB blog
P.S. Thanks for letting me know that the coordinates have wiggled a bit since they first went up, and for sending me your re-calculated list of locations, six decimal places and all. Kind of creepy how many of them turned out to be near my hometown (and your hometowns, too, from what I hear!)... still no axons on this side of the Pacific, though.

Sounds like the coordinates weren't random and they tried to position them...I think what is happening is that people have to go to that spot and when someone does...it goes hot...maybe they have to answer a phone I heard a lot of the spots have pay phones... Dalamari, there is one in Waite Park which is near St. Cloud...go run up there lol.

Check out that shirt...wonder what it means.

that shirt is the release date

11=november 9=the 9th= 4=2004
and then that added up =24, not sure why thats important though...

From what I hear this is how it works, there is a pay phone at the location, the operator(the ai in the ship) will ask you who you are, you will tell them the code from that your coords were under on the ILB fun stuff site then it connected, there are about 30 things to unlock and for each one you need to activate 2 axons, there are 777 payphones all together.

I want to know what the hell happens when its all unlocked

Does anyone have a link to some good info on this entire thing? I'm confused as well.

Well it is a big puzzle still and it will continue to get more confusing until all the peices are unlocked.

How far away is St. Cloud? I can prolly get up there maybe....

This has just been dragged out too far. It's getting to the point of being pretentious.

Has anyone considered the idea of Bungie or MS making a movie tie-in with the games?

All that dialog couldn't possibly be fitted into the kind of game Halo 1 was if the second game is anything like the first (as well as the situations) so maybe it's just audio clips from a movie they have planned?

Ugh, a Halo movie would really really suck. Having someone walk around in a Master Chief costume would completely ruin it IMO. It would just look so plastic and fake. Not to mention the aliens, ODST's, spacecraft, and the hundreds of different locales and sets that would need to be constructed (or bluescreened, which would be even worse) in order to have the full story of either Halo 1 or 2.

It's probably from a cutscene.
