My 8800GT is at 55C idle with the fan running at 60%. Under full load it gets to 65C with fan running at 100% is that OK?

I know these babies get hot but 65C seem REALLY hot. Been looking at aftermarket coolers and the one in this link called 'accelero s1':

It costs ?15 and comes with ramsinks too. Do you think its worth getting one for my temperatures?

the 8800 GTX gets up to about 85 degree celcius, but that is normal so wouldnt think theres any difference in the 8800gt

There are alot of people getting that cooler for the 8800 GT but I do know that thermalright at about to release a cooler specifically for the 8800 GT (the accelero fits the 8800GT but wasn't made for it). I can't remember the name of the new cooler for it, but check out the overclockers forum, all the modding enthusiasts are on there, and your copious number of 8800 GT threads here won't help you us much as those guys over there will.

That means I have to register YAAAWWWWWNN

Yeah mine runs at 50-55 degrees idle, not entirely sure under load. I am thinking about looking for a third party cooler, if only to find one that is quieter - my graphics card fan is easily the most noisy component of my PC by far.

It's alright for GPU to operate higher temperatures than CPU under load. don't get nervous, this is completely normal.
The GTX with the giant HSF sometimes do over 85 under load.
I uninstalled Ntune, so I don't know what my GPU temp like now but; They were like GPU1=52 and GPU2=62 idle. GPU1=69 and GPU2=79 under load, when I had Ntune installed. But, the GTX comes with massive HSF.

Good Luck.
