9600xt 128mb is it worth it???

Hi I was thinking about purchasing a 9600xt 128mb agp video card for $150 do you guys think its worth it??? My friends all say it would be worth it and its a million times better than my Nvidia GeForce4 mx im currently running on! I also have more ?'s how many fps do you think ill get on all settings on high? ohh and heres my system info:
Amd Xp 3000+ 2.17 ghz. proccessor
1.5 DDR Samsung PC2700 Ram
and thats all you need to know...

well it's a nice rig. and there's nothing wrong with the 9600XT (allthough some people in here think otherwise) but don't get the 128mb version. get the 256mb version! I have it( 9600XT 256mb) and I can run HL2 on pretty much highest settings without a FPS drop, 60 constant!
so if you don't wanna spend to much money on it. get the 9600XT 256mb and if you got the money. go for a 6800 GT or something.

No, your wrong, Dont bother with the extra 128mb of Memory, it costs more than its worth, read reviews and all show that the extra 128mb of memory dosent really justify the price, id actually reccomend a 9800pro 128mb for 180- 200.. save up a little while more and youll get a substantially better card!
but if your stuck on the 9600xt then get the 128 mb version
or if you wanna spend a little more, get a 9800 pro

same here man! i paid 139 bucks for mine.....9600XT 56mb

its was a good deal...only reason it was so cheap wa because they didnt have the box for the vid card..

the extra 128mb doesnt really add all that much performance considering how much more you have to pay for it.... the 128mb version is fine...
