9600XT benchmarks

looks like its about the same overall speed as a 9700-non pro

the 9500pro still beats it about half the time though............

thx for posting the links asus.

If you didn't catch it, that hexus.net review has included Nvidia's 5700 (NV36) in the benchmarks. Seems the NV36 is too good of competition (in benchmarks but only at the cost of quality) and thats probably why ATI is making a newer revision on their 9600XT.

did you get your info that ati is making a reversion form the inquiror ? man i cant spell... anyways i heard that place lies alot so i wouldnt beleive them

You heard this?
heh
They report a lot of rumors and things ideas going around in the industry but they don't lie.
Sometimes they post an artcle saying this company should do this trying to give them a hint.
You really shouldn't take a lot of what they say as fact as it isnt presented as fact. Although they are right most of time ;)
P4 EE? yeah they called it before intel announced it.
They knew the specs and all. They get a lot of info of what a company may implement and the post about it. Whether the company chooses to do that or not you have to wait and find out. They post it all in good character and humor. It's just an interesting site to read.

Thanks for posting those benchmarks.
This is unrelated to the 9600XT, but while browsing those benchmarks, I stumbled on this test: Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory; 1024x768.
That's the only benchmark I've ever seen where an FX5600 beats a 9800XT. I know most people wouldn't care about this, but it does matter to me, as Enemy Territory is the game I play 90% of my time. I actually feel less sorry now for buying an FX5600.

So, thanks for the info!

Yup. A combination of OpenGL and no DX9-shaders whatsoever gives the GeforceFX the advantage in Enemy Territory.
