I know that there is something completely f**ked with my system and I can't figure it out. My dad bought a new dell with a 9800 pro in it, since he doesn't play much games I traded my GeForce 4 ti 4200 with him. When I played my games on his system which is a 2.8 GHz P4 with 512 DDR (333 MHz) and 533 MHz bus everything was extremely smooth at the highest settings and AA on at 6x and AF on at 8x. The FPS almost never dropped below 70 in the 2 games I played and usually stay at 100, Call of Duty and Battle Field 1942 : Desert Combat were the 2 games. After I swapped the cards I could not get nearly the same performance on my system. Call of Duty still played well, averaging around 50 FPS with AA and AF at 4x. However, Desert Combat was completely screwed and I was getting the same crappy performace as I was getting with my GeForce averaging around 40 FPS. Counter strike also got almost the exact same performace as the geforce averaging about 50 FPS (50 FPS on a 5 year old game  ) My system specs are P4 2.4 GHz 533 MHz Bus and 512 MB DDR (266 MHz). I also have a SB Audigy 2 which is much better than his onboard sound that came with the Dell. Any ideas on what could be wrong? I have reinstalled battle field with no improvement. I treat my system like a baby so I don't have any bad processes running in the background and I run adaware on a regular basis. I don't have any anti-virus software running as I don't like it slowing down my system but I can gurantee you I don't have a virus as I scan my computer through the network once a week. Let me know if you need any information from my system and I will be happy to provide it.
Thank You,
Paul

The driver destroyer should do the trick but if not...
Check display settings and let us know what they are at.
Vsync On/Off?
refresh rate (in-game)
Play in window mode (or any desktop showing)?
What other programs do you have open? Anything that would cause you to go over 512mb.
AA/AF settings or anything like that.

I think that the driver destroyer did it, however, I only had time to play one game of battlefield on a map I haven't played before. I will have time to test it out tomorrow and will let you know how it goes. If I still have problems I will post what Asus wanted.
Thanks,
Paul
