hi, im looking for a ati radeon 9800 se 256bit. the reason is is because i dont have that much money and i found a website that said that you could softmod the 256bit version of the 9800se to a 9800pro. the problem is is that i cant find a 256bit version, all i can find is a 128bit version.
does anyone know anywhere where u can get them from?

Not sure but i think all the 256mb 9800 cards besides the XT are discontinued.

not 256mb, the memory interface is 256bit. dont worry cos ive found a few places that sell them, thanks anyway

Get the Hercules AIW version. Thats supposed to be the best for softmodding

ive heard that the 9800se is no better than a 9600 or was it the 9500, i forget. if you do get that softmod to work your looking at a huge price/performance ratio
