You're gonna get capped in LA with that attitude.

I think if you use internet slang in real life at all, then you're more likely to get capped anywhere. (Although, yes, I've done it. I've said "Lollerz" in polite company.)

nu is not internet slang, it's just plain ****ing stupid slang.

And yeah, you're probably going to die in LA, no joke.

Cerritos aint Compten
and I can type like I want to I know its spelled "new"

jeez or jesus?

funny thing is, there were about 50 homeless and jobless people standing below that poster.

anyway, Good Luck, ruler of the Kingdom of Lemonia!

hey lemon king, as you'll quickly find out the ebst community colleges in california are: SBCC (Santa Barbra Community College) and SMC (Santa Monica Community College). I used to live in Santa Monica and have taken courses at SMC. I'll detail out the info I know about these schools (just helpful info!!)
SMC
The professors are very good, knowlegable, and hold positions as professors at UCLA, local Cal State's (Northridge, LA, Long Beach), and local businesses. The Santa Monica area is rife with tech companies, the new home of the "Hollywood" film industry, game development studios (Activision is about 20 blocks north of SMC and constantly hiring beta testers with pay around $500 a week and Electronic Arts is a 10 minute *!no traffic!* bus ride from SMC). SMC is the number one community college for transfers to UC's and Cal States (i'm guessing what you would eventually want to get to after your associates degree or transfer eligable status). Santa Monica is a beautiful city, although you're likely to see bums, with alot of money floating around. Apartments in Santa Monica are outragously priced, but if you look in Venice, Mar Vista, and other surrounding areas there are apartments reasonably priced. Santa Monica has one of the best public transportation systems called the "Big Blue Bus" and fares are 75 cents, but since you're a student you can get a bus card from the libraries around the city for 25 cents a ride. One problem (although common at almost all community colleges) is that people have a tendency to stay there longer than the one or two years it should take to fill the units to complete a associates degree. I currently have multiple friends attending SMC and many that are going to attend, they're all really cool people who are out going and very social (just to give you an idea of the kind of people you're likely to meet there). Oh and both of my parents got their assiociates degree's there; my mom went on to get her Phd at UCLA... an example of the possibilities.

SBCC
Virtually all I know about SBCC is that it is located relatively close to UCSB (University of California Santa Barbra) and has on campus housing, a big plus for meeting people, cheap housing, and close proximity to the school. I am also aware of a program along the lines of "Fast Track" where you are put into an accelerated program to complete the neccessary transfer units or assoiciates degree in a single year instead of two. Santa Barbra is a cool town with THE BEST Halloween parties ANYWHERE.

I'm sure you've researched everything and know what you want, so i'm just trying to help out with the knowledge I have... I'm leaving August 18th for San Francisco.
send me a pm if you'd like more info or whatever

i registered here about and hour before HL2 became avalible on Steam... saw all the guys posting how much time was left on activation (lol fond memories) and made a post. Since then i've checked this site everyday for news, and did most of my posting over at HLFallout. I decided since i come to this site everyday anyways i should start posting here.

oh also if you don't know about this already you should get yourself on MySpace (www.myspace.com) and The Face Book (www.thefacebook.com). They're springboards for meeting people in the area, but mostly at the same school as you.

haha i realized that after watching the "spasm" movie over in the general hl2 forum

im glad for you lemonking, i'm sure you'll have fun... california is a fun ass place... at least to visit, maybe not to live. I dont know. I'd chill with you but I'm too busy in a better place, SEATLTE LOL.

Good luck in America, Lemonking! :)
Remember, there's always Canada as a fallback!

and then there is always Mexi...never mind i think you should try to stay away from that place.

and if you can wait till next year E3 is in LA (although i dont know how much it is to get in, maybe you can trade in your pizza boxes and bloody bandages for a ticket) but anyways welcome to America, i say that because i wont be able to make it to your flight in considering i live in Florida. :E

You gotta make your way to the middle of this shithole country! Missouri is a desolate place...but..I'm HERE! that's gotta count for something..hmm never mind :(

Are you going to get a job in a diner?

I'll have the fries, a large burger and a strawberry milkshake please. Rollerskate it over when it's ready.

Same thing, just change mine to extra-thick baby shake.
