A Collection of Dumbasses

come over to my house, I'm making a new film ...dont tell anyone

Oh I know you would if you ever got the chance to have me over!

Stern
You are my hero
This is the most epic video of Oh-shit i have ever seen

That one with the unbreakable glass and the rocks has to be set up, that was too good.

That glass one looks entirely fake.

I mean, after it hits the glass and has been repelled... it looks like it actually GAINS speed from moment to moment exponentially, at least to me. And that of course is impossible.

so they took grainy video and digitally added a rock that defies physics? why wouldnt they have just set up the video using a nerf rock or something ..much much less post production work needed not too mention more realistic looking

Holy **** @ the fireworks and rockets.
Humanity rules!

what was that second to last one?! It seemd like just a... rocket or somthing, but then it came down? :|

It was a Space Shuttle going up but obviously it came back down and exploded

Is that some Space Shuttle disaster the government isn't telling us about?

The guys filming had (eastern european?) accents, so I'm guessing Russia or somewhere like it.

Eastern European?! That was a British accent...

Edit : god my spelling sucked in that sentence...

The end was epic. You could just hear the music building and building, and it was obvious what to expect.

That is one 'Ohshi-' video. :D

Nice Stuff Stern!

That was incredible! The fireworks explosion was spectacular!!! And I completely agree with Nicky saying "that is one 'Ohshi-' video"!!!!

I have seen a few of those before, like the Fireworks one and the Train collision. Still doesnt detract from the awesomeness of the vid.

I saw all of them before. And the rock one was a cg rock.

I saw this video a couple days ago, I coulda swore I posted it. Must have been to drunk \=

Are you drunk everytime you post on here, Pitz? It really seems like that is the case!!!

The only time pitzy isnt drunk is when hes sober enough to realize he isnt drunk.

Krynn has himself a point. *shakes fist at work*

Don't care if it was fake, the rock one had my in stitches.

EDIT: And the shotgun one hahahah.

The fireworks footage was of a disaster in Enschede Holland, it cost 23 people their lives and 950 were wounded.
It's tragic, plus there is absolutely no funny in the footage, and I do not see how it should get the Darwin award.

And now that we are at the subject of funny, death isn't.
The result in some of the footage far outweighs any stupidity by most of those people, hell I bet most of us
have done stupider things and gotten away with it just fine. In any case it's always horrible to watch people get seriously hurt or die.

Get down off your soap box... It's called black humour Gray. Portraying stressful events in a humorous manner is just one way humans cope. Without that kind of defence mechanism most of us would be curled up in a ball in the corner of our bedrooms.

Just because he has an accent does not mean it was in Russia or something

EDIT: Damn Stone your just full of comments like that aren't yeh?

Black humor is only funny when dealing with death in an indirect way and even then mostly relating to
made up events. Here you're watching people literally ****ing die. The proper reaction would be to get a
sick feeling in your stomach. And even if you are used to it, the most you should be is indifferent, only if
you have a serious malfunction in your brain should you find it funny.

I found some of it pretty funny, like the rocks, some car and bike accidents, skateboard and rollerblades accidents, the train accidents, etc. the fireworks looked awesome, not funny thou.

I'm in the medical field and I see this all the time and have to deal with the outcomes. Becoming cynical and developing black humour is essential to survival in this field. Instead of berating me, take a moment to understand. People will always enjoy in some way knowing about or seeing death through some form of medium. News reports, papers, history books, videos on the internet, whatever. If you can't handle it, don't watch it but this dictation of what we should be feeling is pointless, especially when it is you who lack the mechanism to cope with it.

Death has always been a form of entertainment. Funny? Not necessarily, but its always fascinated people.

Seeing someone die is supposed be shocking and sick, this is a medical fact, it is imperative
to evolution to not find the death of fellow human beings funny, for that matter the same
go's for seeing animals die. The worse that could ever happen is you become used to it.
Having a pleasureful reaction to death is not in any way a coping mechanism.
It means you are a very sick person, if everyone was like you we would be extinct.
Go see a ****ing shrink.

Time to throw up a video of Daniel Pearl with Benny Hill music and comedic rewinding and forwarding of the footage.

Seriously, this could apply for every damn video clip of death there is then. Like action movies.
Humans have fought and killed since the dawn of man. Not gonna change. And in this time we have news covering it, and to be shocked or sick at watching or hearing about something like that whould leave you in a very depresive state. It's not unusual to grow accustomed to it. If anything i see that as a proper response.
If anything i think people in the western world live in a very protected environment, with not enough experiance of death until it comes knocking on the door.

You know how I have coped with family members and friends that have passed? Joked about them. Not necessarily about how they died, but the fact that they are. It feels like a mean to move on.

This video on the other hand is just plain funny becouse some of the random/idiotic events that occur.

"Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you walk into an open sewer and die." -Mel Brooks

It's hard to be sure whether most of them were injured or died, except for the lighter guy at the end, and if you do that then you deserve to be laughed at.
