At the Start of the Round:
Demos and soldiers should immediately start hurting themselves (if your team has medics), and medics should heal THESE people at the start of the round. There's nothing quite like having two full ubercharges at the start of a dustbowl attacking team.
Soldiers and Demos
They BOTH can easily take out sentries on their own... Provided that they have a little peace and quiet on their flanks.
And for real... LEARN how to sticky/rocket jump. Gravelpit is a great map for it... when you can rocket/sticky right up to the top of the tower. I've won countless games doing this.
Teleporters
Scouts DON'T take these!!! You can already blaze across the map don't steal the rides from other people!
Give medics and heavies priority on the teleporter. The faster a heavy gets into the action the more enemies die.
Engineer-
Build a teleporter FIRST thing start of the round, turn around, and go restock that 125 metal. Your (full) teleporter is often more important than your sentry.
You can TURN the blueprints using the right mouse button. Handy for getting sentries right into corners.
You can jump ON TOP of both your dispenser and sentry with the jump-crouch.
Don't hog the metal at the start of the round. Other engineers need it too!
