A Crashing Problem Please Help

I installed halflife2 a few days ago, it worked fine, i played it for an hour or so. Then, when i closed HL2 to install CS Source and Halflife2 Death match, i noticed a problem. CS Source would close on the menu load, so would Halflife2Deathmatch. So i tried to play Halflife2 original... ONn the Loading screen i heard a Beep and it closed back to my system. I even reinstalled the entire game with only halflife2 installed. Same thing.

I have the following

2.0GHz Prossesor
254ram
64MB Extreme Graphics Video Card
60GB HD

Note: After i played HL2 before i installed the other 2 games i updated my sound and video drivers. and went to the absolute newest DirectX setting. I did this before i loaded CS Source for the first time and HL2DM and it happened. HL2 as well. But i checked my whole computer, defragged, viruses are a nope, no issues in the game folder itself (i dont think) I just really need some help here.

Sorry, there might be posts regarding my problem but im not sure, cause those people get error messages, all i hear is the error sound and it dosent give me a message.

I tried something new, i put the -console in my game loadup and i can get to the menu at least now. But at the end of the loading to go into a level it does it. do i need a ram upgrade?
