The video is in mp4 format using the x264 codec. The easiest way to view it is with VLC player. Especially if you've had trouble in the past with "I get sound but no video, what do I do?", then VLC player is for you. It uses its own codecs so you don't need to worry about having the right codec ever again. It should play almost any type of media you download.

If you absolutely insist on using Windows Media Player or Winamp, etc, then if it doesn't play you need to follow this guide under "For Playback". Basically you'll need ffdshow installed and a splitter, along with the x264 codec.

Again, easiest way is to use VLC Player.

Rocket Man - 10:36 - 230mb - Filefront

direct mirror - Verizon

Other boring stuff in the read me. Filefront has really been sucking lately, so I'll try and upload to my ftp for another mirror, but Verizon really isn't very reliable either. Feel free to mirror it if you feel so inclined and I'll add the link.

sure i could have. but i didn't want it to look like it came out of my cat's ass.

be grateful. most euro's are teaching people to use wmv @ 4mb. that's lewz. this movie i used 2900. at over 10 minutes wmv@4mb would be an extra 100mb.

In my well-respected and sought after opinion, it was worth the download.

Just for the part where the grenade clips the sign post on the wall and comes back.

Anyways, good production value, well done.

I liked it. I think some of the enemies were newbs though... real dod players would notice you a lot more than those players. Anyways, how did you get those camera shots? Like the ones with the grenades and rockets? And how did you pan the camera around like that... its not just spectator because you cant move the camera up and down unless you change your pitch.

there's a link to the smoother, and there's a thread in the editing section by RabidJester on it.

the "choppier" shots were done by hand, the ones where the camera doesn't really move, just pans. would have been better using Fraps for those situations, rather than the in-game utilities.

but even shots using the smoother the camera bobs around, and sometimes it doesn't matter what you were doing in the actual demo, it can still jerk around. so i cut out most of the choppiness i can
