I've been working on a military theme here... what do you think? there's a lot more, but i don't feel like spamming the forums with mediocre art :).

these two i'm happy with. they are both about 40 by 50 inches, the drawing is marker on paper, the painting is oils, charcoal, oil stick, and some other crap on paper.

Pretty good, the second one looks a little too abstract for me. :)

you should see the stuff going on in my studio courses if you think that's too abstract :) one of my friends told me it was way too figurative.

too much white space in the drawing... put something in there like someone repelling down.... or some birdies or something? :-p

thanks... glo-boy, i love white space... that's why there's so much of it :)

The two are amazing. There is no such thing as too figurative or too abstract on art ... Good Job!!!!! :E

In real life white-space is fine....but when i look at on my comp screen it isnt the same.

I like the second one Spif! its not to abstract for me, but maybe it could be slightly more defined?

that's true... it's also nice in person because it's about 4.5 feet tall.

well when i looked at the first one, my first reaction was,"gee, thats a nice photo." I continued to observe it and remembered the title; my reaction: "Jesus! thats hot"

1st one: set as wallpaper
2nd one: It's alright, the style isn't my favorite but its still cool.

thanks for the compliments, folks... i'll try to get some other stuff up soon.

white space can be used effectively, but the negative space you have there needs to have something or else the visual weight is not distributed evenly... seriously, like.... here let me show you what i imagined.

EDIT: here's what I mean :p

glo-boy, interesting... i probably wouldn't go in that direction, but i see what you mean. That looks pretty cool with those birds

/me saves the image

Pendragon, i pretty much agree with you. I like things about that painting, but i'm not crazy about it overall... i'm kind of wrestling with my painting right now.

i like the second one but the first one is just awesome. keep up the awesome work.

I like both, but I've got to admit I prefer the austere first one to the hallucinogenic second.
