I've noticed that I've got a few exclamation marks under my device manager, and when I goto properties it says I don't have drivers + I think it's having a negative impact on my PC, namely my USB hardware like my wacom tablet isn't being recognised as well as my external DVD Burner, USB Camera etc...

Below are the items that have errors.

!) SM Bus Controller

!) Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller

!) PnP Bios Extention

Tracking down the drivers has proven to be a major pain in the arse, would anyone have any suggestions about this? Like have any links to sites that archive drivers? I've already checked drivers.com + driverguide.com but to no avail. As always any help would be appreciated.

Do you know the model of your motherboard? Or what chipset is on your motherboard?

Try removing them and scan for new hardware or restart. Let it autosearch. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need MB drivers as Asus suggested.

Its a Giga-Byte K7NNXP flashed to the latest bios version. I don't think I'll get a Gigabyte MoBo in future, they seem to come with a few quirks here and there. Umm so yeah the chipset is nForce 2 Ultra methinks. I have tried the scan new hardware a few times before I started the thread to no avail.

I've also looked on the Gigabyte website to see if they've got any drivers but nothing I can see.

Anything else I can do?
