Hello, HL2 fans. I got two irritating technical problems with this FPS of all time.
Problem number one: Ragdoll corpses merge through almost every physical object in the game like ghosts. The command variable: "ragdoll_collide '1'" only makes the ragdolls to impact each other, and that works just fine. But it would be superb to see them crashing through loose junk and leaning against wrecked cars, boxes etc.
Could this matter be connected to my hardware? My processor isn't exactly state of the art (an Athlon XP 2600+ Thoroughbred running about 2,1GHz), but HL2 rolls just fine with my Radeon 9800 Pro.
Anyway, is there any command or an option to force the ragdolls to impact on other physical objects?
Problem number two: There is no muzzleflash light visible in dark places, despite the fact that I enabled it with a command variable "muzzleflash_light '1'" in my Autoexec.cfg file. Why on earth doesn't the muzzleflash enlighten the surroundings?
If ya guys can help, thanks a lot. If ya can't, thanks anyway. I'll be back later.
