Can any one reccomend the best value gaming mouse?

i would recommend microsoft.. and if not them, logitech.

i bought that mouse roughly 2 and a half years ago and it looks the same as when i bought it, absolute amazing quality.

i think the 'average' price is around $30 us.

if you want to spend more, i'd recommend a wireless laser mouse: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productlist.aspx?type=Mouse

actually, the wired laser mouse 6000 is only like $5 more than the intellimouse (the picture i posted above), so i'd probably spend that tiny bit more and get that.

Razer mice are definately not for everyone. I myself tempted to buy one multiple times, but when I tried it at the store it was disappointing. I suggest you give them both (logitech MX and Razer series) a try before you buy one.

Logitech MX510. It's about $30 if you can find it.

Truth.

I hate those Razor mouses because it's flat. The Logitech line conforms to your hand. It's SO comfortable to use for extended time.

MX518 is what I would pick.

You can change your sensitivity with 2 buttons on the mouse. (Same as the Logitech G5)
And it has both forward and back buttons on the side. (G5 does not have the forward button)

I have the Logitech G5 and it is awesome since i can change the weight of the mouse. But I miss my forward button. :(
Plus the MX518 costs less.

I can rant about how the mouseacceleration of the MX518 sucks and what it actually is, but I'm too lazy atm. I just want to bring up the point. If you play games without mouseacc, it's perfect. If you know what mouseacc is and use it because you figured it's better for games like css, go for the mx510.

I really like the Microsoft Comfort mouse. It's only $20. It's more much more accurate and faster (new lazer technology or something) than last years MS lazer mouse. It likely the best mouse you can get for the money, but you might find a better mouse for $30 or more.. I don't know.

It's got a built in magnifier button for viewing smaller images and text. You can change the size of the magnification (height and width is contolled seperately) window on the fly, by holding the button down, and you can also change the magnification level with the scroll wheel while holding the button down. I like it for viewing thumbnails, to get a better idea of what the image is, without having to click on every one of them. It always remembers how you had it set too.

Real sweet deal for a $20 mouse.

You should get one of the latest mouse pads too. I got a Wowpad. This ****in thing is incredible, and cheap. It really is about 30x better than the pads you buy at dept. stores. Order the large one though.
