A man arrives in a field with a package, he immediatly dies. Explain.

First to guess correctly gets a cookie (you can ask questions)

Man parachuting out of a plane, his 'chute fails to open, he plummets to death. "Package" lands beside him.

I'll have a chocolate-chip, please ;)

He cought a glimpse at the contents, it was a paper reading:

"HL2 has been delayed indefinetly and is now being shuffled to ID Software"

Pah, having heard it before is cheating! :p

Here's another: A man is running away from a murderous mob, having stole 3 of their treasured gold bars. He comes across a canyon with a single wooden bridge across it. He knows for a fact that it can only support the weight of himself + 2 of the gold bars. He'd rather die than return home with less than 3 gold bars. How does he get across the canyon to safety with all 3 gold bars at the 1st attempt?

He hacks off one of his arms to reduce his weight, or throws one over or...

There are so many solutions these puzzle things are stupid.

The canyon is too wide to throw stuff across.
He doesn't have to loose his arm - it's not as daft as that.

He schwing it and hopes for the best :)
Or just tie a rope to the third and drag it over (still only one pass).
Or maybe he's got a good throwing arm...
etc etc...

Good answer, but he doesn't have that much time.

Then he ties a rope that equal the bridge length (or smaller, there isnt that much weight on one spot anymore) around him, tie the other end to the gold bar and just run :)

He has no time to use any of his surroundings what-so-ever.

You want a clue?

The down-moving weight of the gold bar might be enough to overshoot the weight limit if he was still in possession of another, or he could lift it with a manipulator gun?

Sorry for the delay, have been in the other forums.

A detective is investigating a suicide case. There is a body, next to a gun. There is also a tape in a recorder. The detective rewinds and plays the tape. Recorded onto the tape is a suicide 'note', followed by a bang.

The detective immediatly realizes that this is a murder case. How?

He wouldn't have been able to stop the tape if he killed himself or something?

Because the bang is quieter than the voice of the supposed suicider (what a made up word ;)) and so it would have been fired from further away than if the suicider had fired it themselves

His alter-ego killed himself realizing, that he'd kill himself also, but that was too late.

Here's yet another.

There are 3 rooms, with 1 light-bulb in each. All lead to the same room, and in that room are 3 switches, connected to a light in one of the rooms.

You have to work out which switch is for which light. You can turn on/of as many switches as you like, but can only inspect the rooms once afterwards, going into each room in turn.

How do you do it?

Edit: post #100!!

You rip out and pour water into a swtich and see which light-bulb explodes.

Douse the place with gasoline, light it and run like hell.

Thats lateral thinking.

I think you got the answer but to make sure...

So what switches do you switch (and when).

I've been told a few of them by various people. I can only remember a few of them though.
