A little help in purgeing my system of... sooo much crap..

I keep getting add pop ups that try and download crap onto my computer. So far I have been fast enough to stop it.


But I really really want rid of all this shit..


Does anyone know any decent programs that will bash it all into oblivion for me?

Hmm. System Mechanics pretty good, but it's only free for 30 days, unless you 'stumble' across a Registration key...

Do a google for adaware, I find that that gets rid of most crap. And don't always click yes, read before you do.

Yeah, adaware usually torches any spyware. Might not stop all pop-ups though.

I allready tried adaware. It worked for a time but it just seemed to come back....


I will try that other one.

Try picking up a firewall. Zonealarm makes a free firewall.
Zone Alarm

Don't forget antivirus software to eliminate any trojans you have on your machine. I would recommend Norton Antivirus, but that costs money. Avast makes a free one

Make sure you do windows updates too.
Windows Update

For a free pop-up blocker, try the goggle toolbar.
Google Toolbar

All of those should take care of your problem.

That should just about cover it

I allready have a firewall. Which scares me because I dont know how it got on in the first place .



I am leaveing my system on overnight to run Nortens Anti virus.. (It aint that expensive..... if you know what i mean..... :O )

And adaware again. Then tomorrow I will try all that other stuff.
