"You are man, he is not man" These words were spoken by the giant, alien like baby at the end of Half life. Also known as Nihilanth.

For some strange reason these words sounded like sugar in my ears, It was the perfect quote (for a bald, alien fetus), and it gave me a strange satisfaction, it helped me believe that I wasn't the only one seeing the man, that I wasn't crazy and hallucinating a bunch of shit, unless I was hallucinating the Nihilanth. But I seriously doubt that. Anyway latter on this had me thinking, previously I liked it because of the way the fetus said it, but now I started thinking about the meaning if his words. At first I thought of that he maybe wasn't referring to the man we call "the G-man", but that thought disappeared fairly quick. Latter I started to think deeper. Questions like; Who is this man?, What does he want?, Who does he work for? and questions like, Is he really a man?

That last one got my attention.

If he isn't a man, then what is he? I don't thing that he's an alien life form, that seems to easy. Maybe it's deeper, darker and more important. It seems almost spiritual...

A man with that much power, can't surely me one among others. A hole race with that much power would be disaster. A disaster that wouldn't last long.

That leads me to believe that he is man, but a man that has gone threw a lot of thing. Maybe he was different, could do thing that man thought was impossible, experimented on. No, that seems to much like 'Heroes', I believe that we has a normal man, kidnapped and modified to do what they tell him to do. Made so he can do things, thing's that are beyond our evolutionary later, thing's like instead of reading minds, controlling and manipulating them, having a mind that can calculate every possible scenario...

I first thought that G-man had the ability to travel and manipulate time and space, that would explain how he stopped time, moved Gordon away from the explosion, and putting him in stasis at the end of Half life 2.

Maybe the stasis is mind prison, where G-man disables your cells from dying and makes you stay in the same way for ever, in your mind until you're ready, ready to do whatever he wants you to do.

Strangely enough, he seems to know how everything will end, and something tells me that he's keeping something it from his "boss", like he's also manipulating his "boss".

Clearly this man is smart, so smart that he always know what to do, whatever happenes.

Frankly, I don't believe that will find any weapon or portal devise or anything that can possible cause a resonance cascade on the borealis, I thing that we will find the most dangerous thing possible in mind, I believe that we'll find a man, and not just any man, I believe that we'll find...The G-man.

Is he man or is he not? Please answer me...

Get rid of the comic sans font, the italics and the larger size and I might read that.

So. Much. Amazingness.

Permission to use in sig, Darkside? :)

Is it just me or is your ability to anthropomorphise obscure inatimate or virtual objects a little scary?

"Wait, sir, wait! I can help you!" his tiny voice rings out, "If you'll just listen to me for a moment, sir, I have all the answers you need right here! It'll take much less time if you--ah, too late. Sigh. I sure to wish I could be as popular as New Thread someday."
...that breaks my heart. :(

I was originally thinking about doing something similar, making the search button all weepy, but it didn't pan out.

Ohmigod, this is the beginning of the rest of my so called halflife2.net life.

Oh, and that font is so italicized and real that I only read 10 seconds in before me eyes watered.

That wasn't hard at all.

And, though that was well written (other than the typos)... use the search function. He needs love.

Huh? what's wrong with that font? It's the same I use in my MSN messenger D:
but I use the regular one not the italic version.

Nicely put Dark, friendly and straight forward... but will it be effective?

Thank you very much, all other people started FLAMING THE SHIT OUT OF ME, but then you came from nowhere and saved my day. Thank you...

This wasn't a question, if you guys had the time to read my post, you would realize that. It was more a list of things that was in my mind. And I just wrote it down.

PS: The frikking search button is ****ing retarded, I searched for 'G-man theories' and bunch of retarded shit came up, then I didn't know what to search. So I said screw this and started writing, you don't have to flame me just because it was a G-man thread. He is an interesting man that has a lot of secrets and right now I cant see anybody more "theory friendly" then him. So stop this madness and let's be brothers, and discuss this G-man thread in a civilised matter...

I, for one, don't have a problem with discussions that re-discuss something that has already been discussed, providing, of course, that there are enough people willing to re-discuss (or simply discuss as the case may be) the original topic of discussion, although that is kind of a moot point since if there isn't enough people willing to re-discuss the discussion no discussion would take place in the first place.

Ah, your post just made my language penis hard.

Also. About Comic Sans.

ha, great comic, NEVER liked that Comic sans thingy...

Well, other people who already discussed a lot about G-Man may feel the same way and, after discussing all they think can be discussed about the-guy-in-blue-suit, think "screw this" and start expressing their discomfort for this kind of threads.

True, flaming is not the best way to do it, but don't think of every comment against you or your posts as flaming, some of them were decent and civilized (with a little sarcasm).

Yes, maybe "some" of them, but the majority was Flaming...

It's just that it's been such an oft-repeated thing. "Nihilanth had this sound file and I think it pertains to the G-man." It's been said dozens, perhaps HUNDREDS of times. Literally hundreds. We used to have a forum on here called Rumors and Speculation; that forum was full-up with "You are man...he is not man...for you he waits, for you." It's been discussed to death; there's no longer anything to discuss.

Just had an epiphany...
Nihilanth was referring to... TEH GNOME!!!11oneoneeleven

What is this, the worlds biggest copy thread convention, or are we all just discussing the chair guy, that comic is sweet. :D

O.K sorry for taking your time, I know this has been discussed hundred of times, but I didn't know what to write, so I wrote this...

I know everything you guys talk about, that this has been discussed since Half life 2and it's over discussed and blala.

You try to write a dissent thread about something that hasn't been discussed hundred of times. It isn't' that easy.

Yes Berkman, we all know that coming up with something brand new from a game that's been around for some years now is difficult, but what most of the guys were trying to point out (excluding me, I was just throwing random comments)is that since this and many other topics have already been discussed several times, here and at other forums, you can run surf the internet a little and find lots and lots of comments about them. After reading some of them, if your questions haven't been answered, you can open a thread relatively safely.

Just imagine this:

One day I'm visiting some relatives out in the country and went to take a stroll by the mango trees. Suddenly, one mango falls down and I "realize" that Earth is attracting it towards its center and it must be the same with any mass, and since it's such an important point in the interaction of all mass in the universe I call it the force of "Importance"...
My head would roll in no time...

The laws of gravity, he's talking about that newton guy and how he discovered/found gravity when he saw an apple fall from a tree.

This wasn't a question, if you guys had the time to read my post, you would realize that. It was more a list of things that was in my mind. And I just wrote it down.

That's where your problem lies. You live in society, not in your head. If you want to just "write things down" from your "mind", get a diary. Don't post them on this board. This board is for discussion, and we can't do that if you don't expect us to discuss anything.

PS: The frikking search button is ****ing retarded, I searched for 'G-man theories' and bunch of retarded shit came up, then I didn't know what to search.

This is where you fail.

So I said screw this and started writing,

No, sorry, you failed here as well.

you don't have to flame me just because it was a G-man thread. He is an interesting man that has a lot of secrets and right now I cant see anybody more "theory friendly" then him. So stop this madness and let's be brothers, and discuss this G-man thread in a civilised matter...

This took me 6 clicks to find:

It also took me 6 clicks to put you on my ignore list...

It takes three.

Glad to see you don't wish to accept some sound advice. But if you're not going to even bother searching or even bother at all in your post, then no-one's going to bother listening to you or to take you seriously.
