what we could do is.... get someone (who is good at sound) to extract the vocals from the origanal and then pass it to someone who has a quality mike and then they could sing it. :)

It will be after the record company thats signs the singer up buys fifty thousand copies to make it go up to number one.

Technically it isn't a The Specials song, the version they made was a cover for their debut. I don't remember who was the original artiste, though. (edit: It can be considered as a The Specials classic, as you said :))

Anyways, now that I have proved my ska knowledge prowess, I'd say that version was pretty funny. :)

Hooray.... yeah, I think it was origianally a Dexy's Midnight Runner's song.... but I'm not sure :)

thanks for the compliment
:)

Heh, my brother listens to all these old (and newer as well) ska bands, and I've picked up bits and pieces of information on the side. :)

Cool.... awww I thought I had found another person who is into ska.... no-one I kno likes it :( ahhh well. I kinda like some ska punk, but not all of it is good :P

Don't get me wrong, I do like it. My taste varies a lot, from grindcore to whiny emo. :)

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones is probably the best ska band I know, they're really good. I don't listen to older bands (like The Specials) that much, only when I overhear my brother listening to them, but I like it though. :)

By a crazy co-inky-dink I'm actually listening to them now.... Rascal King :).... very nice :)

The first ska album I bought was Question the Answers by TMMB. I still think it's the best album, along with Let's face it and the new Jackknife to a Swan (and maybe Duck and Cover by Mad Caddies, I dunno). :)

Rascal King is one of the better songs on Let's face it. Though the whole cd is pretty solid. :)

Duck and Cover is good, although Rock the Plank is a slightly more rock album from the Mad Caddies :P

:) I can't afford albums, I borrow em off richer mates, so I have very little idea of what is on what album :(

I have a ska on my forehead....its from the lobotomy.

Seriously though

Actually i quite like some ska, i don't really have any though. I just listen to my friends if they have it on. I have to say though, madness is my fav, even though there are some pretty good bands out there.

Besides i couldn't have a scar on my head.....they used that glue instead of stitches.
