Hello everyone,
I haven't posted in so long, but this idea hit me so I had to share it.
Ive been playing a C&C renegade mod called "A Path Beyond"
and I really like the aspect of playing my old fav games from a first person
perspective. but the only thing I do not like is the way the game starts.
everything is built.
I know about the mod Empires, and I really like that mod too. so I know that
a red alert mod on source could work, then this other idea hit me!
Would there be a way to make the commander (the one who builds the buildings
and units) see the battle field in 2D as Red alert sprites, while the actual people playing in FPS would see everything in 3D?
so when one person playing in FPS is moving from one place to another
the commander sees them in 2D moving with the original Red alert animations.
if any one needs more reference as what I mean, ill post some concept pics.
so my Big question: CAN IT HAPPEN??
Edit: I just finished reading the post on copyrighting, and I would like to say that it would be better to make original sprites if this mod ever happens!
if anyone really starts this, please use original material!
