A new BF2 patch?

I still play the game a few times a week, so I welcome this with open :arms:
 
Wow, here I thought that they had dropped support for it.

Also, did they mean today or next Monday?

Guess they meant next Monday.
Just might reinstall this piece of shit if the patch presents significant decreases in load times like 2142.

That's the funny part, I've never had long load times, unless it's the first time I load after changing settings or something. I loaded in 30-45 seconds from hitting "Join Game". Now it's like 15-30 seconds with my new rig.

I guess I'm lucky?
 
Wants patch too. Jimbo and me played for a while earlier tonight. It was buggy as hell, but still heaps of fun.

There has been a lot of discussions on the Battlefield forums regarding the Battlefield 2 Update 1.50, so this is to let you all know what’s happening.


Update 1.50 is still in development, we have held back on releasing the update as we have become aware of and are taking preventative measures against 3rd party tools which have been severely affecting everyone’s playing experience recently by crashing dedicated servers, clients as well as allowing account spoofing. We hope you understand our decision to delay the release to resolve these issues rather than releasing early with a need to update again.

We are looking to release this update by Winter of this year.
 
It's getting closer.

I hope these aren't the only gameplay changes though, because a general fix on all heat seeking missiles would rock, and there's quite a few other minor details that can be adjusted to make it a lot more fun to play, or at least fair.
 
Jesus, the game came out 17 days after I joined here. Still patching it?
 
As an early Christmas present, I have received a CD key! Who wants to play? :D
 
I would but EA never fixed the frozen ranking on my account, no point playing without rewards.
 
If I see you guys load it up in steam I'll give you a shout and join in :)
