Hi,

Has a gamer I’m contacting you because I created something which should interest the gamer‘s community.

After building Quake 3 Arena maps for some time I’m now a Doom 3 mapper. When Quake 3 was popular there were hundreds of mappers and so a lot of new maps to play every days. I was in love with always looking for the last Quake 3 maps to continue playing my favorit game ; LVL was my favorit web site ... ! (http://www.planetquake.com/lvl/)

Today there is more and more games that allow gamers to build theirs own maps but there isn’t any web site that can list all of theme as well as LVL did it for Quake 3. Even doom3file, halflife2file, etc … are too much complicated and too long to load.

The reason I’m contacting you is that I’ve just created a web site that will enables gamers to find maps fastly and easily for any game, listing a lot of maps for the 10 most played games on the net : http://www.map-factory.org/
I would like to tell every gamer that this web site is now here to help theme enjoying FPS and downloading or listing maps. I didn’t build such a site for money, I’m just a gamer and I bealive in the “BY the community, FOR the community” system.

I hope you will enjoy this web site and feel free to post or read hundreds of maps.
I would be very charmed to receive your remarks and your councils.

while waiting for your reactions, I excuse myself for my bad english and I thank you in advance for your time !!
See you on http://www.map-factory.org !!

Don't go posting this in forum sections that don't require it, and especially don't post the same thread in multiple forums - other thread deleted. Thanks.

Good site and all but how about brushing up your english before making an "official" statement?

uhhh, where does he need to "brush up on his english" ? It looks fine to me

This is great mate, hope this goes a long way

It's fine but it's not class. It's an "official" statement, the english should have class (And not minor grammatic errors and spelling errors, etc. They're all over the text)

Where in the hell does it say that an "Official" release of a website statement must be grammatically correct?

Good luck with the site XPac!

Anything marked Official should be grammatically correct. If I had my way, even things explicitly marked Unofficial would be grammatically correct, but we can't be hypercritical...

If he was packaging something to sell instead of being giving something to a mod community...then maybe. Jesshhhh. Again, where does it say that? People need to get over themselves.

STOP BITCHING, hes done us a great favour, and all you can do is nit-pick him!!!???!!! JESUS,

CALM DOWN, STOP NIT-PICKING, AND SAY THANK YOU.

THANK YOU X-PAC

Well, technically I didn't look at the site (or read the post) at all, so I wasn't nit-picking anyone, just advertising the importance of proper grammar. :P

I like your style.

While I'm on it, what's required to write tuts for yer site?

A third-grade literacy level and a topic worthy of a full tutorial, that's all I would require ;)

Hopefully the requirement is to not be an ass. But hey, that's just me.
