I just bought an athlon 3000+, 333 fsb, 512 cache and I was just wondering if I would gain FPS becauce of a new CPU ???
I get about 32 FPS on CSS : ( And I think its because my CPU . so i bought a new one yesterday, So is it possible I will gain FPS, if so how much? :upstare:

My old specs:
Radeon 9600 PRO, 256 mb, 128-bit
512 mb GEIL RAM, PC3200
Athlon 1700+ 133 fsb (is now 3000+ fsb, 333fsb)
180 gig HD
40 gig HD
DVD burner 8x

I'm quite sure you'll get more fps with your new cpu, but don't kill me if it doesn't! :imu:

This is how I see it (pretty sure it's accurate).

Good processor means your pc is fast,
and much ram makes sure it can do alot of stuff at the same time.

And of course graphics cards matter etc.

No one will really knows, just test it out.

Did you buy an Athlon 64 3000+, or Athlon XP? If you made the jump from 1700+ XP to 3000+ 64, you will notice quite the difference. Think of it this way, your processor, processes, all of your computer's actions. So, the better and faster a processor works, the faster your game should be.
