how do I use a CS:S model in HL2?

I'd like to change the smg1 in the P90. I have extracted all the files from the gcf archives and set up the mymod\models\weapons directory,but having just renamed the p90.mdel file into smg1.mdl gives me a big ERROR...!

anyway now the weapon model is unaligned: I gotta find the cfg file that sets its XY coordinates on the screen or,alternatively,edit the model. Which editor do you suggest for this?

the alignment options r in the qc file. u have to decompile to get the qc and recompile the model once you fix the qc.
