I know that this board has a fan problem(I have one!), but I do have another fan for it(from a Deluxe), anyway I was wondering how I get the damn fan off?
I've looked all over the Asus website. I basically want to use this until I can replace it with a different higher quality fan.

Erm, i'm not sure how. Never really looked. Is there any screws on the underside of your motherboard?

And i've had no problems with my fan... Keeps my mobo chipset at 34-35 degrees. Never gone above 40 i'd say.

I switched to DFi...anydangway, you gotta take the entire mobo out and there are push-pin type clips on the bottom. :) I replaced the fan before I sold it to my friend to get my sweet DFi board.

Get a Premium like me...

:D

Goto make sure you have good case cooling if you go with the premium since its passively cooled. The tiny chipset fan on my mobo is pretty quiet, never heard it, but then my gfx card's fan is rather loud..

Yeah, my 7800GT's kick out enough noise to cover up any other noises from my PC :p

I want to get the Zalman Flower HSF for my CPU. Needs some extra cooling now its overclocked.

I heard they are pretty good. I'm thinking of getting an arctic cooler vga silencer for my gfx card. Had one on my 9800pro and it was so much cooler and quieter, think they release teh ones for the 7800gt/gtx's later this month. Will be so good to quiet the beast!

I'd get them, but i've had 2 die on me, and i have 2 7800GT's, so not sure of the space. I'm sure they'd fit in though, theres loads of room for my cards :)

I had an old Emachines computer, kinda load and sucked. The one I built myself, sitting next to me... I've walked into the room and pressed the on button while it was on. I could not hear it(My Screen-Saver is blank).

Yeah...i've done that a few times. I Have a 7800GTX, Athlon 3500+. Im shocked on how quite and nice it runs. My external DVD Drive makes more noise... I can hear my other computer, 10ft away better than I can hear the one right next to me.
