If your browser makes the pic smaller so it all fits in the browser window, make sure you view if full size or it defeats the point of the sampling lol

In short, AA gets rid of the jaggies.

No AA, 2X AA, 4x AA, 6x AA
UT2003 (click next for 2x-6x)
Zoomed 400% (click next for 2x-6x)
You would think jagged edges would be less obvious while ingame compared to a static screenshot but really that is not true all the time. Quite often you get moving edges that seem to scroll or move with you that really stand out.

Pretty interesting article. I would still go with ATI over Nvidia. Shader 3.0 is still too far off on the horizon to predict performance figures or if it will even be used.

On topic - Nobody has mentioned this yet, but AA does involve a performance hit when turned on. Also a few games (mostly console ports) like Halo don't support AA. But if you have a fast enough graphics card, it is worth turning on AA for games.
