Hello,

I was wondering, should I be able to play Half-Life 2 and the Source games without that much of a trouble? My current computer specifications are as follows:

Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz
GeForce FX 5200 128MB
Soundblaster Audigy LS
512MB DDR
80GB 7,200RPM

I really hope I'm able to play...and has anyone played with specifications somewhat close, or under these, and have had reasonable performance? Hope to see some answers! :)

Regards,
TP

:dozey: No, you're doomed... you cannot play it! FOr the 564567546345435675676896789797456456546456456756342134345546537 time YES! YES! Your computer CAN play Half Life 2!!! The proper question is... Will it run silky smooth and/or while lookin' like Lindsay Lohan!

It'd be cool if you upgraded your graphics card though...

It's the best I can get...no AGP slot on my motherboard; yes, this computer is ancient. Otherwise, FX5200 can run DirectX 9.0b (However I'm on 9.0c), so I find no trouble there. I'm not really worried about running it at the max settings, viewing every detail there is. Gameplay is more important than anything to be honest. And sorry if this has been answered, or the requirements have been told for Half-Life 2, my internet was out for a bit of time, so I lost track.

You know, there is a sticky where you can ask questions like this, so there AREN'T a thousand threads like this.
