Hello

do you know why if the game is supposed to ship on august 2nd or so, why do pages like http://www.ua-corp.com/ or planetdoom.com say things like 5 days until doom 3!!!

what does that mean???

Eh? Where does it say in 5 days? I see just under 14 days, not 5.

planetdoom.com doesn't say 5 days either. it says 15.

oh crap!!!

i just noticed!!! the webpages read your comps Date and i have it wrong :hmph:

gaaaaaah i was excited...

actually i dont care about the date/month on my pc, only the hour... thats why i had it wrong...

So is that the U.K release date? or is it an american release date?

So, the next question is release dates. Retailers in the States will be allowed to pick up games starting
at 12:01 AM on August 3rd. The official street date is actually August 5th in the U.S.A., but some of
your favorite stores will probably have it early for those of you who have to have it first. Check with
your local retailer for that information.

Internationally, the game will take a few more days to make it to the store shelves. The UK will probably get it first, on or about August 6th. Everywhere else will probably be Friday, August 13th (que Twilight Zone Theme) or close to that date, with just a few exceptions (e.g. Russia and Poland). This isn't
because we don't have love for you folks outside the U.S., but the localization and manufacturing process
takes a bit longer outside the U.S. where we will have JVC run 24/7 to get the units built. I guess the
European manufacturers prefer to give their employees nights and weekends off. Go figure!

So actually the US get's it first and then the UK will get it next before everyone else.

We've all been waiting quite long so what does it matter that you won't get the game asap?

Hmm.. if you set your date past August 3rd all it does is say "Transport Arrived". Kinda disappointing.

that's the whole point. We WANT the game as soon as possible, we've wanted for the whole time it's been in development.

Yay, U.K rules! So a few days after the U.S we get it. Would of been quite ironic releasing it on friday the 13th

Poor Russians, have to wait even longer than Friday teh 13th. I think the same goes to Poland. What's the deal with localization anyway?
