About purchasing Dawn Of War II

I was wondering... DoW2 is 49.99 Euros on Steam. But I can buy it on Play.com for 29.99 Euros and register it on Steam. It has to be done anyway, since it uses Steam as DRM, right?
So I have the box, I save 20 Euros and I still have it on Steam. Am I wrong?
