After they decide the winner, will we be able to play all the maps that were submitted? Because chances are, those are the maps mappers put their most effort into, and probably are awesome. Is there any way we'll see the maps submitted?

Only if the authors choose to release them.

I'm sure most, if not all, of the maps will be released to the public by their makers. The bigger issue will be whether everybody bothers downloading them, and how many servers will put you on hold while your machine 'synchronises' with the maplist.

Personally, I'm more interested in how many maps a single person is allowed to enter in the contest. Granted, I haven't done too much homework on this front (only so many hours in a day), but I haven't seen anyone answer, or even ask, that question.

The rules state nothing about multiple entries. I'm submitting two maps.

yeah, i was hoping valve would put their official stamp on the great ones(if the mappers gave them permission) and then everyone would get them on steam as part of a patch.

moh haxxor cheator! ;P .. got that tank in your avatar skinned yet?

The tank in my avatar...hm...I'm not allowed to talk about that :)

Pi of all people knows how much I loathe the fact that the mods know more than us.

The tank in my avatar has no relation to this site, or my being a moderator.

Yeah, will Valve release a huge list of brilliant, good, etc maps...Map packs would also be good  - or we could just compile fav. maps into a map pack...I would submit mine to a pack (if judged good enough :hmph: , or done on time!!!)

I'm sure most people will be releasing theirs, ill be releasing mine. Only thing is, Valve claim in the rules they have the right to distribute and gain money off any entry submitted, which may hold some of the winners back from releasing their maps...only a thought...
