I had preloaded HL2 and CS:Source onto my old comp with my voucher deal. I previously got a half-life 2 IOU for my birthday (i'll get the game when it comes out on the 16th) and now i want to give my "ati hl2" to my brother. can he just sign on to my account (the one with the ati voucher on it) and dl everythign onto his comp?

well judging by what youve said...i would say yes. i see no reason why he shouldnt be able to...providing that he uses the hl2 voucher. yeah it will work mate, just make sure he uses YOUR account, because you can access your account from any computer :E

Yes, he can. But he'll need to use your username/password to be able to play the game.

OKay if I read that right, you want to give him the ATI voucher because your going to get it on your own? OKay, first of all, he can download it all, but he would have to be logged on to your account. So just give him that account and make yourself a new one. But if your getting HL2 retail, i dont know what to tell you because I dont think you get the back catalauge. But if you are getting it over steam, give him the ATi voucher account, and then make another for yourself.

Create a new account for yourself and put your HL2 IOU on that and give your old account to your brother or give the HL2 IOU to your brother and keep your old account. Either way you should end up with two accounts, both of which have HL2 on them. You're free to use those accounts to download it on to as many computers as you want then. You just can't play multiplayer at the same time.

yeah that's what I figured. i'm just going to make a new account on my computer and put HL2 retail on there. my brother will be able to play "ati HL2" on his comp cuz i'll give him my old account. the only problem is i've uploaded CS:Source onto my comp in my old account. when i instal my hl2 retail will it override the old CS:Source, therefore allowing us to play online at the same time?
