Has anyone played this yet I played the demo and loved it, so I bought the game however once I installed it and double click to launch the game my mouse pointer just turns into the spinning cd icon and never loads then finally i get a message that says "unable to authenticate in time limit" of course atari is being no help and the forums seem to show that its a copy protection problem anyone else with the game having the same problem??......sigh I wish I could just find a no cd patch for this so I could at least play but I cant find any??

I remember playing a demo of an RTS once. When I played AoW, I thought I had mistakenly gotten the demo I played before.

It's a clone of all recent modern era RTS's.

Agent M I had a problem as well, try putting your aow shortcut into combatibility mode for windows 2000 that seems to work for allot of people. The game is great, imo it out does generals but theirs still some issues.

Yeah thnx for the advice thankfully I found a no cd crack so I can play until atari fixes the problem. I love the story of this game and yeah I totaly agree this way out does generals, and is a very good game in general If your a RTS fan its definitley worth checking out.

Well, after playing it for a while I can come to a nice solid conclusion.

THIS GAME FREAKING ROCKS!

Yeah, and the Tom Clancy style storyline and video sequences intersperced with the action make the game 5X Cooler.

I must admit the idea of having a video sequence playing during the (actually fairly bearable) install time was a nice touch.

Although I can't get past the first mission (segment?) where I capture the Vulture. I complete that, get the video of the bombing, and then my machine freezes.

I shouldn't have bought this on a whim just because I liked how it sounded
