As reported yesterdayhttp://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=114469, Valve and Activision have joined together, allowing the publishing giant to distribute a select few of their critically acclaimed titles through Steam. Today, Call of Duty 2, Gun, Call of Duty and Call of Duty United Offensive are now available for purchase and download through Steam.[br]For the first two weeks, those who purchase any of said titles will receive a 10% discount off of their originally set prices. The titles vary in price, ranging from $20 to $40; Call of Duty 2 being the most expensive title, and only title to break the $20 barrier.
Four PC game tiles from Activision -- Call of Duty 2, GunT, Call of Duty and Call of Duty United Offensive -- are available now via Steam. Those who purchase any of the games during their first two weeks of availability on Steam will receive a 10% discount. Please visit www.steamgames.com to check pricing and grab a few.
You can find all of today's title releases at the Steam Storefront page located here.[br]FYI: If you already own any of these titles, your valid CD-key will not work with Steam. In order to get a working copy installed onto your Steam client, you must purchase the game once more through Steam -- How many times can smash say "Steam" in one sentence?[br]

Damn, why did I buy COD2 2weeks ago :rolling: ;( I want it on STEAM!

Then try to register your CoD2 cdkey on Steam. Maybe it will work.

Wtf.

No fair.

I want to play CoD without buying the game again D:

Good news. At that price I can probably get it in store for the same price or cheaper in a sale (cod2) so Id go that myself for the manual and box (love boxs), but its great to see more and more games comming to steam.

Give valve a few more years and I could really see them being a distributer 1st and a games developer second. Bot that that has anything to do with their game quality, simply based on how fast games are appearing on Steam, particully some big name ones.

Damn, that *really* sucks!
