Actor Jeremy Piven has abruptly left the hit Broadway revival of David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow," blaming a high mercury count, Daily Variety reported in its Thursday edition.

why is this even remotely news worthy or interesting you say? because of this line by David Mamet:

"I talked to Jeremy on the phone, and he told me that he discovered that he had a very high level of mercury," Mamet told Daily Variety. "So my understanding is that he is leaving show business to pursue a career as a thermometer."

He should just change his name to Freddie Mercury. He'll die of mercury poisoning instead of aids and fit the name better.

I lol'd, then i read Raz's reply, to which I respond: you're gonna pay for that, Raz. :| I <3 Freddie Mercury.

That doesn't mean you have to hate what I said. I mean, it is factual.

He probably got it from making dangerous mercury-laced shower curtains. Soon he'll be going crazy and starting projects like the "Take A Wish Foundation," the "Heimlich Counter-Maneuver," and some vague notes on a "some kind of rip on the fabric of space" with possible uses as a shower curtain.

I appreciate that you didn't say anything blatantly reveling where this is from.

Then again, this is hl2.net
