Hey guys,

I currently have a steam account which i created when i purchased HL2: episode 1. Im looking to buy the orange box, but is there anyway to add TF2 to my old steam account and add the rest of the games to a new account? Or do i have to create a whole new steam account can only use the orange box games in the new account?

thankyou,

I'm fairly certain you can only 'gift' Half-life 2 and episode 1 to another account. Why would you want to do that, anyway? It'd be much easier just to forget about your old account.

It's impossible to "transfer" games to another account.

Because 8 or 9 digit steam id's dont go down well in the online commnunity, big sign of hackers if you play well. I have a good steam id and want to keep it. This is why is why i want when i install the orange box, to put tf2 in my old account and all the other games in a new one.

You're in luck, you can buy TF2 separately. But you can't dissect the Orange Box and grab what you want and leave what you don't.

lol im pretty sure you cant, want to direct me to somewhere where i can?

im in australia too btw.

thx mate, but im really not looking to wait 2 months :S

Well there's no other ****ing way you can do it, MATE.

im sorry but that just made my day in laughter. great logic that doesnt do anything for you.. "zomg i have a low number that must mean i dont hack and im good!"

You are obviously ignorant to the gaming scene, i wont even bother with you.

And to rapstah and xombine - this would be a waste as i have all the games except for portal and TF2 :(

Actually Giant, you're wrong. If you play something like Warcraft 3, or really any other online game, someone with a name like 94989108375267 is definitely either stupid or a hacker. If I were the host, I would ban him immediately.
Now, I name like 'Rapstah' is much sexier.
Also, why do you want some of the games in your new account and some in the old? I mean, why not just keep them all in the old? You can change your name, you know.
'Edit SteamID'

I'm kinda confuzzled here...but are you saying that you already have Episode Two on the old account? You want to buy The Orange Box on the new one and put TF2 on the old (which we know can't be done).

Edit: ace actually you don't understand lol, a Steam ID is different from the actual name. It's a number to signify your Steam account, the smaller the number, the older your account. I think it's foolish what jester is doing and an ID number doesn't mean shit to me, but whatever he wants to do. :/

I am now extremely confuzzled.
ID number? Where?

my point was that it doesn't matter what your number is. its just numbered by when you joined and so on. there is no class to the number at all. sure it coullllld mean they are new to the game and still learning, but you dont have to assume that they suck.

Then you actually called someone ignorant after they put out a good point?

Dude, quit being ****ing stupid. It don't matter how many digits you have in your SteamID, people will always complain you are cheating. Ignore it christ.
