Adjusting voice volume

I play at night after the kids have gone to bed and I can't hear a word anyone says at the volume i'm playing at, does anyone know how I can increase the volume of just the speech? The closed captions are doing my head in. :frown:

Not sure about how to make the voices louder, but here's my solution to gaming late at night once the kids have gone to bed - they are not quite as nice a good set of surround speakers, but the channel seperation is actually quite good:

There isn't a seperate volume for speach. A headset may well be the way to go.
