Just a note to the mods here (and anyone else willing to listen), the in-text ads you guys have added to the site are NOT the way to please your posters. Banner ads. and other ads are OK, but taking our written words, and twisting them into an advertisement (often an ad which has nothing to do with, or even runs counter to the posters intent) is the lowest, cheapest form of forcing ads on us. If you cannot keep the site free of ads (which I understand), please at least get rid of these evil self-populating adverts in our text.

I think, this has to do, with the virus warnings we got...

Well, since someone else started another thread on it I can actually reply now...

Take the hint then.

Sorry, but I wanted to have my say and I don't see how closing all threads related to this helps anything. Yes, I realize the mods have nothing to do with it and it is the admin's decision, but stopping everyone from discussing it accomplishes nothing and is a very poor way to handle things in my opinion. Now I know you weren't the one who made that decision either. I'm just speaking in general here.

I still havn't seen any of these ads yet. I guess Opera must automatically block them all out.

I agree about the text ads. Not that I give a crap, I rarely visit this site since it got invaded by asshole noobs.

You're all being way too over sensitive about this... Go visit Gamespy.com, Eurogamer.net or IGN.com - they all have this type of ads.

Some words on this forum automatically turn themselves into links. To me, that's not a big deal. How on earth you can get so worked up about it all is beyond me.

And, as will always be the case with these types of thread...
