"We don't go to Ravenholm"

Ok, there must be something wrong with the script or something.

Im at the part where you escape the caves and ur in the city once again, I find the warehouse and kill the guys then this guy speak to me and tell me to folow him, I follow him, he knocks on door, and a woman opens it, he walks on through and tells me to come.

Well, im sitting there for about 3 minutes for him to move out of my way.. He just isnt budging!? What the hell...

I have a slight problem with the Node and ai_disable, I have to disable ai every single time the game loads which is enoying, I've tried editing the script so it will load ai_disable 0 and setting the doc read only so it can't be overwritten. Plus I get Node graph out of date, im thinking thats the problem why he won't budge? I've had a simlular problem furthur back in the game where the priest in the villiage says somethin like follow me, but he wont move, so I had to jus go to the next loaded stage in order for him to be loaded and start working again.
 
African? Another guy that was stuck at the same place called him "niger". Coincident?

I would guess that it's a problem you get if you have the warez version.
 
I've heard a fix for the problem of out of date node is to set your system clock back a year. Weird, but you never know.

AI getting stuck might start working again by entering a map cheat code and replaying that bit of the level again.

And I do not have a Warez version.

I bought the DVD version of HL2 from a retial store called GAME www.game.uk.com

If u want proof, I could jus simply scann the box and cd in.

No. I just thought it funny that you called him "african". Anyway, judging from that screebshot you are on the right side, so there shouldn't be much problem...
 
He looks african, and anyway, i'd through i would mention that because it mite jog people memory at where im at.

Ok, so i've gotten past him, but, he still isnt moving.
Im sure he needs to try and get in touch with alyx.

Any ideas?
Any commands that could possibly get him moving?

And how far am I away from a load point, maybe I could try skipping this bit. I don't want to miss too much of the game.

Now I see. You are on the wrong side. Try clipping through him.
 
That's the pirate version. Look at the aux power bar.
 
what is the aux power bar always down on the warez version? i thought people were just running too much when they take screenies

I'l run the game with CD to show proof im not a fag :)

It's not down, it's full. The blips are all filled in.

Well to be honest, I do have the bought game, I can prove this.
I installed HL2 from cd, then extracted some information and edit some files so it works without CD. No harm in that right? I did buy the game?
 
I know, it's hard to believe, and I see why you think im a warez customer.

But playing with CD is enoying. I listen to alot of music while I play.

Mmmm... ffs... Im installing the game and is going to copy the save files to it and will go to the exact same place as the screeny and show u it's not pirated..............

Yeah, or you'll go and see if you can get someone to get you a screenshot/photoshop it.

I mean, people aren't quick to accuse others of having pirated software - we have nothing to gain from doing so. Myself, I don't know if you do or not, but there are plenty of solutions that have already been offered to you but you don't get on with things...

Yeah, that happened to my first account, I made a mistake doing so lol....

So I returned the game and said it was faulty..

Now it's correct and nothings happened to my account in the week.

There's a trick to it so u cant get banned. Make sure u never go on steam while editing the files or playing HL2.....


Im sorry if u really do think im a warez'r... But im not...
 
Umm yea im positive your using the warez version, The sprint bar on the HUD is red. That only occurs when using the illegal copies

The reason why it shows that is because it's being ran without the CD.

U can be a owner of the game, but have it work without CD, and the sprint will still be like that.
 
That's just a screenshot from the same vague area of the game...

Not very convincing.
 
You should have just bought hl2 over steam.. then you don't need the CD...

wont work , i tried it, a scripted event happens, black dude says follow me, and he tells you to stock up on ammo, then you talk to alyx about blah blah blah and then he tells you go head to the dock to get the buggy... you can noclip in there and walk around and get all the ammo, hell, i even stacked tires all over the wounded i was in there so long..

what i did is i went into the console, type map "whatever map is called, one of the last ravenholm levels, or the last ravenholm levl" i fought the combine waiting outside, and at the end of the train, walked in warehouse, killed the combine, after battle, walked to wounded guy, and listened to scripted event, he said follow me, i followed him and i went it and it worked, the times it didnt work however.. this happened...

i killed bad guys, walked to wounded, noticed chick was working on woudned guy while the other guy stayed on the deck just looking around, i reloaded via a quicksave and he still stayed up there

when i loaded the map from scratch via the console, he ran down the steps and over to help chick fix dude who got shot, i followed black dude, he said follow me, went in and bam

script plays

and i do own the game btw.. this isnt the first time the scripting has failed on me,, i mentioned something similar in another thread about the part of sand traps where you get the bug bait,,
