Here is a shortened story of my fixes and disapointments.
First off, the only drivers that work with the FX5700LE card are the 6177 ones. Now that we have established this, lets discuss what worked for me and what didn't.
1. Setting the game resolution to the same resolution and refresh rate as your desktop works. This way worked for me once and I wasn't able to duplicate it since though.
How to do this:
1.Create a shortcut on your desktop.
2.Right click on the shortcut and goto properties.
3.In properties look up the "Target" text box. It should read something along the lines of "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 220
4.Add -w 1024 -h 768 -refresh 60 -developer1 after the -applaunch 220
Explanation: -w (Your desktop width) -h (Your desktop height)
-refresh(Your screen refresh rate) -developer1(To skip the loading of the menu city background)
Please give me feedback if any of thise helped you and tell me if you were able to actually make the game work fully.
Current status: Game launches and gets to the point where the GMan says "can mean all the difference in the world."
