After I signed up here, I got SPAM!

Right after I registered to use the forums I started getting spam in my e-mail that I listed. I have never had any spam before this. This is really annoying that places like this sell your information. If it is possible, I would appreciate if an admin removed me from the list.

I get spam to several addresses that I do not use at all.

I think you'll find that it if anyone has given your email address out, it's Yahoo.

We do nothing with the adresses you use to sign up.

It's got nothing to do with this site, we really REALLY don't sell email addresses, honestly I have tried to convince Munro to on many occasion (knowing how much money we could make from doing so) but he point blank refuses to do it, prefering to use ads instead.

So no, its not us, however looking at the email address you used.. It's yahoo, they do sell email addresses, so do other web based free mail. and even if they don't, spambots are setup to email random addresses eventually hitting a few for every hundred that goes out.

Since the start of it is random letters but in a pattern, its even more likely a spambot picked it up. Should mix numbers and letters and spaces to confuse them more (some of them are pretty clever)

Alright then, I am sorry for the mixup. I just never have gotten any spam for over 2 years on that account and right after I signed up here i started getting them. i guess its just a coincidence.
