After latest patch, neither HL2 nor HL2:DM will start

After the latest patch (the one out at midnight 12/1) now when I try to load HL2, I get an error box that says "Failed to load the launcher dll: the specified procedure could not be found." When I try to load HL2: DM, I get the memory read error. However, CS:source works just fine. Does anyone else have this problem or know what's going on? Both HL2 and Cs:S were working fine before this patch...

I recopied files from:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Username\counter-strike source\bin
to:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Username\counter-strike source
and it seems to work.

Oh s***.....i´ve been Very lucky palying this game compared to many others...But Now..After the HL2 DM update ...F###...I get The Memory cannot be read....And Ive finished the game without problem ...just the regular stuttering when AutoSaving ! ! !
I had NO problem playing the HL2MP.....but when trying to load HL2....MemoryProblem started...I have NEVER had them before !

OK...What to do? Delete the HL 2 DM? Would that "reset" The game back to normal?..What if i Totally reinstall HL 2 ? Or Steam ? And "IF"..What files do i "HAVE" to safe-copy?
I have the DvD-European Version.
Any suggestions?

Only three files here: FileSystem_Steam.dll, makepak & vgui2.dll... Copied to steam folder - DIDN'T WORK.
