After playing CS:S would you go back to CS?

Css = new low ass recoil = sprayfest

cs = classic high recoil = strafe left,strafe right,bang bang hs!!!

Or cuz css actually demands skill u cant do ur strafe and "bang bang hs" i can do it, u just need to actually have skill to do it in source. Its much harder and much more satisfying when u kill someone.

Not really, although I do go play CS:CZ to play against bots. If CS:S had bots and I had my graphics card working most certainly not.

and i sucked .. didnt have buy script etc ..
i dunno .. gameplay is just different.
So im staying with CS:S

I go back to playing CZ a bit now. Nothing is more hillarious in 5 minute bursts than getting 20 bots on T and you on CT on militia, and only letting them have knives, putting them on expert setting too. Buy a para and it's hillarious.

I never really got into 1.6 or below, but i love cs:s totaly. all my friends say that the gameplay is fair different, but i wouldn't know to compare against.
And cs:s is so totaly not a so called 'spraysfest'. it's like impossible to kill anyone just m4 spraying them from like 2 metres away.

i never use scripts. its start and a mass f1 4,3, f2 f2 f2, then rush.

i rarely ever buy armour, never really needed it in CS. occasionally i get flashes and HEs. but tis all :O

Hell no, I left CS at 1.4 it was just boring. Source has totally rejuvinated my interest in it though.

I'm hoping DoD: S will do the same, that went downhill after 1.3b.

Binding keys to say in CSS

How do you bind keys in CSS? As bind a say "blah blah" doesn't work any more. This is pretty silly, keep the same code at least!

Yes, but only to play with a few friends who don't have computers really capable of playing CS:S all that well.

Make a file called autoexec.cfg and add everything you would like in that. It will autoexecute on start up. Remember to place the file in the /cfg folder of css.

bind "p" "My afro got raped by an elephant!"

That should work. I tried binding my norwegian keys to several items, but I just got a memory error from that. So if you happen to have special keys, DON'T use them. Stick with english keys.

And regarding the topic.

I tried playing CS 1.6 after CSS got released. It sucked I won't go back. Sure I had several fun years in CS, but it's time to move on. I guess the majority of the 1.6 - community will face that fact sometime in the future too.

Right now I think CS:S has too many bugs and not enough maps to be more fun that 1.6. But that will all probably change in a few updates.

2 words, **** no man, well that was 3, even with the lack of maps, the graphics and ragdoll effects make up for that, once in office I threw a nade at a couple of camping Ts, the nade landed right at their feet, when it blew up one of the Ts went straight up in the air, hit the ceiling, then came back down with so much force it bounced up again a little before finally flopping down on the floor dead, priceless :naughty:

Definately not :thumbs: . CS Source has ace graphics and is generally really fun to play. I like the new map remakes and new weapon models looks ace too. CS Source is CS 1.6 with ace graphics physics AND IT'S LOADS MORE FUN :cheers:

whew i cant play cs 1.6 nemore. i hate when people say that it takes less skill to play cs:s because i know some peopel that are excellent at cs1.6 but suck at cs:s and vice versa.

I tried going back to 1.6 part way thru the CS:S beta......Since then I haven't been back once. I still enjoyed the game but the gfx were so naff (even after only playing dust on source!), I just can't go back. It feels a shame, since I spent so much time on vannilla cs(and then cz) and never once did I feel I would ever stop playing....guess I was wrong

Hell yeah i would go back, it can't be that bad, can it? There are way to many classic maps to just disgard it. In fact i am going to download CS1.6 from Steam after i am done getting Source SDK.
